We recommend a maximum rider weight of 100 kg, including clothing, backpack, accessories, etc. to take full advantage of the potential and adjustability of the suspension. Heavier riders may experience an increased sag percentage.
The M97 is long and slack. The long reach allows you to feel planted ‘in’ rather than ‘on top’ of your bike. A steep seatpost angle allows you to climb comfortably, keeping weight on the front wheel.
Â
The slack head tube angle, combined with a short fork offset and stem gives you great stability and confidence on fast downhill sections and still gets you through a tight switchback.
When comparing sizes and geometry with an older bike, we advise to compare the top tube length. Also consider that our shorter stem makes the difference between the reach and the reach to the handlebar smaller than on your average bike.
All sizes are given in millimeters, unless stated otherwise.
Various shocks can be used in combination with the M platform. Shock specifications and stroke are similar for all M7, M9 and M97 models.

“The Instinctiv scores points with its plush suspension and central riding position. The Pinion gearbox ensures a low centre of gravity and is beautifully integrated into the frame.”
“Although the Instinctiv M9 only has 140 millimeters of rear travel, it rides extremely smooth and feels like a downhill bike on the trail. Thanks to the Pinion gearbox and a good chain guide, it doesn’t make any noise and is unusually quiet on the descent.”
