We like to offer you the best options of trying at home, ordering online and having a dealer help you try and order your bike. Learn about all the practical details.

local dealers

Our local dealers can show you the bikes, can help you with choosing the right size and they can order the bike for you.

 

After the bike arrived at your local dealer, they will help you setup your bike and will take care of maintenance and service.

try at home

You can now order a full weekend or mid-week of riding one of our demo bikes as a premium ‘try at home’ package.

 

To make it even better, we reimburse you EUR 400 on the purchase of your new bike or frame, if you ordered a ‘try at home’ package before.

rider for rider

If you are interested to meet other riders and are happy to show them your new Instinctiv, then our Rider for Rider program could be something for you. The program offers you a nice initial discount on your first new Instinctiv and later some nice bonuses.

bike lease

If you are a German customer you can use the bike leasing options from Jobrad, Eurorad, Businessbike or Bikeleasing. You place the order on our website and we will forward it to our partner, Sattelfest Bikes in Germany. Just choose ‘bike lease’ as payment.

 

For the hand over of the bike you do not need to visit Sattelfest Bikes, the bike can also be send to your home.

When you are ready to buy an Instinctiv bike or frame, it might be handy to create an account on our website for a smooth checkout.

 

If you are located outside the European Union and you are logged into your account, you will see pricing without VAT. Please be aware that you will need to pay VAT in your own country and possibly import duties.

 

If you want to buy as a business within the European Union, you can also enter your VAT number to be able to buy without VAT.

ordering

The first step is to choose the bike or frame that you would like, configure the components and color you want, add this to the cart and place your order.

1. check

A couple of minutes after you placed your order, you will receive an email with your order details. Please check if all is correct. If not, then send us an email, so that we can make changes to your order. We will now manually check your order and prepare your invoice.

2. payment

After we checked your order, we will send you an order confirmation and an invoice with payment details. If you selected to pay by Credit Card, you will receive a payment link in a separate email leading to our payment provider Mollie to make a secure payment with your card.

3. build

After your payment came in, your bike or frame gets a fixed production slot, we allocate components and once the frame parts come in, we have your frame coated in the color you selected. When all parts are in, we will carefully assemble and tune your bike.

4. quality check

When the assembly is finished, every bike has to pass our quality check. This is where we double check the bike, so we can assure it works well and that everything is just like you ordered it.

5. shipping

We will contact you when your bike or frame is ready and discuss the shipping and delivery. All bikes are shipped fully insured with a tracking code.

6. ride

You receive your package and get to unbox your new bike or frame. Instructions about setup and mounting wheels and handlebar are included in the protective transport box.

delivery

The normal lead time for full bike would be about 6 – 8 weeks, but due to the present ultra high demand in the market and slow component deliveries, the lead time for your bike will be longer in many cases. Delivery of a frame is normally faster then a full bike.

 
When you configure your bike or frame, you will see an expected shipping date, mentioned directly above the ‘add to cart’ button. This date is based on the actual information that we have received from our suppliers. We can not guarantee we can always meet that date, but we do our best to ship your bike around that date.
 
Feel free to send us emails regarding the delivery of your bike and we will update you on which parts are still missing and we can send you some pictures of the building process of your bike. 

warranty

Our frames are covered for life against damage due to manufacturing defects for the original buyer. We will repair or replace, at our discretion, any frame we deem defective.

 

You can make a warranty claim in accordance with the terms and conditions of the warranty. To do so, please fill out our warranty form.

pricing &
taxes

Please be aware that our webshop will show you pricing including statutory 21% Dutch VAT.

 

If you created an account and  you are located in a country outside the European Union, you will now see pricing without tax, as you do not need to pay European tax. This also goes for the UK and Norway.

 

Please be aware that you will need to pay your local VAT or sales tax, and potentially import duties, when you receive your bike. In many cases your local tax is lower than the Dutch VAT.

 

In Switzerland we work with a local dealer that imports the bikes for you, so you best contact them for pricing in CHF and local support.

 

shipping &
import

We ship our bikes, frames and bike parts fully insured with express services like DHL, FedEx and UPS. Should there be any missing articles, then those will be delivered to you subsequently and free of charge.

 

If you buy a bike from outside the European Union, then you are responsible yourselves to take care of the import paperwork and pay the applicable taxes and duties. Mostly the express shipping services that we use will  help you with the import process and will ask you to pay the taxes and duties to them.

 

For shipping to a country outside the European Union we are not able to calculate the shipping costs automatically on our website, so shipping is not included. When we are ready to ship your bike, we will select the best shipping option for you and charge you for the shipping costs.

insurance

All our packages are insured during the transit period. When you receive your bike, frame or bike parts, please examine the package immediately for any damages.


If there should be damage then please notify us within 24 hours, so that we can inform the insurance company.
