    Because every frame is coated locally, hand-assembled and custom-tuned to your exact specifications, our normal build time is about 6 - 9 weeks. The delivery time can change, depending on availability of parts and work load.

    You will receive a weekly update by email about where we are in the build process with your bike.

    30-day return

    If you are not completely happy with your new bike, you can return it to us within 30 days after you received it. You only pay for the return shipping. After receipt we will check your bike and if the bike is clean and in new state, we will offer you a partial or complete refund, depending on the state of the bike. This is only applicable if you ordered your bike online directly from us.

    service

    Should something happen to your bike or the Maxon AIR S bike drive system, then you can contact us directly and we will support you with replacement frame parts or help you with drive system repairs or replacement through the worldwide Maxon service network.

    warranty

    We are keen to deliver you great quality, therefore we offer an extended lifetime warranty on our frames. The Maxon AIR S drive system is covered by a 24 month factory warranty.

    taxes

    Pricing is including your local VAT tax. If you visit us from a country outside the EU, you will see pricing without tax.

    configuration

    Changes in the configuration, like adding or removing components, are not displayed in the images.

    custom color

    We can build your bike in any color you want. Still it is good to understand that the decals will be always in black and we will ask you to provide us your favorite color by an NCS code. Unfortunately we do not accept other color systems. Working with a custom color is at your own risk and colors may deviate from what you expected. Learn more about the NCS color system.

    The colors shown in the configurator come as close to real colors as possible, but deviations can occur, depending on your screen settings and light conditions.

    crash replacement

    If you were to have a big crash or your frame gets damaged in an event not covered under warranty (e.g. transport) we can help you with a replacement frame that we can have coated in the original color of your bike.

    That is the absolute minimum if you build the bike with focus on weight only. If you configure the bike into a capable trail bike, you end up with a normal weight between 18.1kg and 19.3kg depending on tires, wheels and other components.

    LLU MAX bearings

    The rubber motor cover is built to handle hard impacts and to keep dirt and dust out of the frame.

    size

    If you doubt between two sizes, then consider that a larger size frame will be more stable. A larger size will put the front wheel further in front of you, which gives the feeling of security but it will require more effort to ride a manual or wheelie.

    If you have longer legs and a shorter torso than the average person your height, then you are better of choosing the smaller of the recommended sizes. If you have a long torso and arms, most likely you'll want to size up.

    body height

    Stand straight with your back against a wall and place a book on your head. Make a mark on the wall with tape and measure the distance between the bottom of the book and the floor.

    leg length

    Stand straight up with your back against a wall with a book between your legs. Pull up the book, simulating the pressure of sitting on a bike saddle. Make a mark on the wall with tape and measure the distance between the top of the book and the ground.

    Riding in medium or boost support mode you can manage around 1.100 - 1.400 meters of elevation gain on a full battery. Obviously elevation gain depends greatly on riding style, terrain and rider weight.

    intended use

    This bike is suitable for enduro riding up to ASTM category 4: technically demanding downhill sections on rough terrain with jumps up to 122 cm (48 inches) and a maximum speed of 40 km/h (25 mph).

    kinematics

    progressive

    We have given the Ocelot a progressive character. How progressive a bike is depends primarily on the regression of the leverage ratio combined with the progressiveness of the air shock.

    The leverage ratio decreases during the travel. This way the suspension is supple and sensitive around sag, yet big hit capable. Plush with little risk of bottoming out.

    efficient

    The PUMA suspension on the Ocelot gives an anti-squat value that is more or less the same in all gears. At sag the Ocelot 145 has an anti-squat value of 118% in the granny gear and 109% in the most heavy gear. This compensates for 100% of pedal bob induced by the pedal torque and some extra to account for your body movement on the bike.

    Anti-squat values come down throughout the bikes’ travel to create less pedal pop deeper in the travel. In normal language this means that the platform is efficient in all gears during a climb or sprint, yet very lively when going downhill.

    fully active

    The Ocelot 145 benefits from little pedal kickback. Especially at high speed, in heavier gears kickback is negligible.

    This means the suspension remains fully active and sensitive during quick descends, even when pedaling.

    sensitive

    When you brake, the center of gravity shifts forward causing the fork to compress and the rear suspension to extend or compress, depending on the anti-rise value.

    The Ocelot 145 has anti-rise levels between 86 - 102% throughout the bikes’ suspension travel. In effect this stops you and the bike from tilting forward under hard braking. At the same time levels around 100% allow the suspension to remain active and sensitive throughout your braking zone.

    smooth

    The Ocelot has a near vertical axle-path during the first half of the travel. This is the part of the suspension travel that you use most during very fast sections.

    When the vectors from trail obstacles and the wheel path are more in line this results in the suspension being compressed rather than the bike being ‘held back’. You will feel this as smoothness of the suspension.
